Merry Christmas!!!
Oh I can’t explain my
excitement today. I feel like it’s going to be a great day! By the way, I have
nowhere to go today so if you have any Christmas turn up you can invite me to,
I’ll be happy to come :D (that’s probably
why I'm so excited)
This entire year and the past few days for me have
been quite interesting. The highlight of my year was attending the Lagos International Poetry Festival (I'll write a separate post on this) and Titilope Sonuga's Becoming - which was really awesome! On Wednesday, I hung out with a very good friend I hadn't seen in a while and we decided to eat at the Chicken republic at ICM. We
had chicken and even though it was tasty, it was really undone inside. I couldn't finish mine after seeing my friend’s chicken, which was red inside.
We goofed around for a while
because we were waiting for our movie to start and took some pictures while
waiting.
We decided to see the new movie Fifty and it was good! I’ll do a
review on this soon. Oh my God, Dakore Egbuson’s character (Tola) was the best
for me. She was just perfect whenever she’s crazy and even when she’s
emotional. You guys should see the movie. You’ll have some laughs to go! And
oh, you’ll also get to hear Ireti Doyle speak good pidgin and Yoruba.
On Thursday, I was home, so I
decided to see “For Colored Girls” again. I’ll love to do a review on it, but
my heart is still too heavy from watching it. I'm taking my little niece to see
“Father Christmas” on Saturday, so excited!

I really really wanted to see fifty last week but my friend didn't let me progress, now I'm in my hometown and can't see it. Hopefully, it will still be showing in January.
