Catching Up | Caught Up

Hey guys:)
Happy New week! Hope the previous week was great?
Mine was quite eventful and fun.

So I went for the movie screening hosted by 48-hour Film Project Lagos last Thursday, because I was part of the team (Team Feu Bleu) that submitted a short film for competition late last year. Our film is titled "Caught Up", hence the title.

The concept of the 48-hour film Project Lagos is to write, create, film and produce a 7-minute video in two days. Whichever team that wins gets to represent Lagos, Nigeria at Filmapalooza and vie for Best 48-hour Film Project Film of 2015. Each team will pick a genre to make a film with on the kick-off day and also, they have to include a central prop, a line and a character that has to show in the film. My team Picked "Suspense/Thriller" and the prop was a banana, the line was "I just came back from Ibadan" and the character was Emeka/Ebere Okoye. That was difficult and fun at the same time.

They also gave out awards in different categories - Best Screen-writing, Best Cinematography, Best Use of Character, Best Use of Prop, etc. My Team won Best Cinematography.

So in other news, My Secondary School is turning 60!!! Whooooop!!! I wish I could've attended because I never get to attend any of these things - Since 2008 - but I have a prior engagement that day. #ProudExmayStill.

I was also at The Essence Modest Fashion Fair and had loads of fun with my friend Haneefah Adam (I mentioned her in this post) and also met Habiba Da Silva! How cool is that? I didn't get to model for her that day due to some minor hiccups, but I got something better. I purchased two beautiful scarves and 5 sets of magnetic pins. They were amazing!

To top it all off, I got 10% discount in advance of any order I make on her online shop once her website goes live. You can get it too - here. I promise there are beautiful modest wears and accessories you will LOVE on that site. I'll talk about the event in my next post.

How was last week for you?
Slay better this week!
Till next time,
Love, Lo.
